Raiser's Edge NXT Training
for Advancement Teams

Overview

If your team is spending time on workarounds instead of using Raiser's Edge NXT the way it was designed, training is the fastest path forward. I work with advancement staff at all levels, from new hires learning the basics to experienced users who want to build better queries and reports.

Sessions are built around your database and your actual workflows, not generic demos. If there is a specific problem your team keeps running into, we start there.

How I Can Help

New Staff Onboarding

Get new team members productive in Raiser's Edge NXT quickly, with a foundation that actually sticks. Covers navigation, constituent records, gift entry, and the queries your team uses every day.

Query Building and Reporting

Custom queries, saved lists, and report configuration that surface the information your team actually needs. Stop relying on canned reports that don't quite fit.

Power-User Workflows

Advanced features, data hygiene practices, and time-saving techniques for experienced Raiser's Edge NXT users who want to get more out of the system they already know.

Team Training Sessions

Group sessions designed around your specific database and how your office works. Not generic software demos, but training built from your actual data and workflows.

Common Questions

Who is this training designed for?

Advancement staff at independent schools, including gift officers, database managers, administrative assistants, and directors of development. Sessions are appropriate for complete beginners and for experienced users who want to sharpen their skills.

Can training be done remotely?

Yes. All sessions are conducted via video call. I share my screen to walk through live examples in Raiser's Edge NXT, and we can work directly in your database if that is helpful.

How long does a typical training engagement take?

It depends on scope. A focused one-on-one session for a new staff member runs two to three hours. A team training covering queries, reporting, and workflows for a group of four to six people typically spans three to five sessions of ninety minutes each.

Do you train on the legacy Raiser's Edge (RE7) as well?

My focus is Raiser's Edge NXT, which is the cloud-based version Blackbaud actively supports and develops. If your office is still on RE7 and considering a migration, I can help you understand what the transition involves.

What if my team has a specific problem we keep running into?

That is exactly where I like to start. Describe the workflow that is costing you time, and we will build the session around solving it. Training works best when it connects directly to something your team needs to do.

Do you offer ongoing support after training?

Yes. Clients can book follow-up sessions as questions come up. Some offices prefer to do an initial training block and then check in monthly; others book one-off sessions when a specific need arises. Both work.
